Veterinarian
Dr. Bron Smith is a Georgia native who received his veterinary degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1971. After selling his own small animal practice, Dr. Smith went to work for APHIS. During the foot and mouth outbreak in England, he was assigned to work in the Yorkshire Dales area... James Herriot country. Dr. Smith counts this as a singular experience.
Since becoming a relief practitioner, Dr. Smith has worked in six Georgia counties. His face is seen at Pleasant Hill Animal Hospital with frequent regularity.
Dr. Smith is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his wife, Fran, their two cats, and their extended family. He loves hiking, working in his yard, and traveling. The most unusual patient he ever treated was a black bear. His favorite pet growing up was a pig named Porky.
